Word Of The Day

DIAMONDS IN THE KING’S/QUEEN’S CROWN

I heard the story of the Edwards traveling with one of their friend Emma for her very first time.  When they got to the airport, they had to pass the security checkpoint separately because of the crowd. So they have decided to meet at their boarding gate 32A. The walking distance between the checkpoint and their gate was not long. Emma can easily find her way without getting lost. This is a big airport with A, B, C, D, and E terminals. In each terminal, there are about thirty gates and some gates are subdivided in two parts (gate 1A/ 1B). So picture the chaos if you don’t know where you are going.

The Edwards passed the security checkpoint and went straight to their gate. They’ve waited and Emma was not coming and her cell phone was not operational. The gate agents started calling her name on the airport speaker. Finally at the very last minute, the plane was about to be closed, then she appeared exhausted. So she sat down in the plane and they were asking her what happened since she was only at five minutes away from the boarding gate. She said to the couple: I know you guys told me 32A but I thought you meant  terminal A gate 32, so I took the shuttle and went to terminal A gate 32 , it is only there that I realized the mistake. So the couple exclaimed if you only believed that what we told you is what we meant. You could have saved yourself some stress.

This is sometimes your behavior with the Lord. You are on the road with him. Do not assume, just believe that what God said is the absolute truth.

To my sisters and brothers believing God for their life partners. I know it is not easy to wait patiently especially when you have no idea of God’s timing. As you are reading this, you are probably discouraged about your case but strongly believe for others. Maybe you are thinking that God is still mad at you about what you’ve done in the past. Listen, God has no personal issue with you. He loves you and that’s the absolute truth. Can you please answer these questions? What is the purpose of your life? When you meet your life partner and both of you tied the knot what will drive you? Do you want only to get married or you also want your father to be honored? What is the purpose of you being married? Who are you in reality? Whose are you?

My sister and brother, God has a purpose for your life and he created you to accomplish it. Long to know yourself very well, to know your Lord and savior, to discover your purpose and start working towards becoming that one he foreknew and predestined. Do not underestimate the abilities, capacities, gifts, talents the Lord has deposited in you by only waiting for your life partner and not working towards becoming the jewel he or she wants to own.  Some people get worried because they’ve never experienced a serious love relationship in their entire lives. They are asking God a million dollar question WHY?

While Ruth was walking and working towards becoming, the Lord directed her steps to BOAZ in the very same field she was working in (Psalm 37:23). Her fear of the Lord , beauty, wisdom, strength, joy, loyalty, commitment, respect, love, care, honesty, dedication, faithfulness, and integrity made BOAZ notice her. Assuredly she wasn’t the only lady working there with qualities. But when she decided to follow Naomi’s instructions (image of the Holy Spirit) and work on the field (live purposefully) she was led to her place of blessing without even knowing it. (Ruth 2)

Today, the Lord is answering you by saying this:  YOU ARE A JEWEL IN HIS CROWN. He is taking you on the road to BECOME a JEWEL in your life partner crown.  Beloved, a jewel is something that is valuable. One of the precious jewels we all know is diamond. A diamond is more precious because it is rare and indestructible. It is so precious that the person who owns it handles it with care. It is only use on very special occasion. That’s why the Lord doesn’t allow the one who is not mature, serious, disciplined, worthy, protector, provider, observant, compassionate, honest,  passionate to approach you.  Please do not devalue the time of BECOMING.  Take heart and continue to endure the pressure of the fire. When the molding process will be over, you will appreciate the jewel you have become (Philippians 1:6). You will be more precious than rubies, a diamond of such a rare and fine quality  (Proverbs 3: 15).

So save yourself the stress, confusion, delay and believe that all of the above are God’s absolute truth about you. Stop worrying, instead be content in your singleness, and embrace the journey towards BECOMING the DIAMOND in your HUSBAND or WIFE CROWN (Proverbs 12:4). Choose to live by this truth everyday.  Fasten it like a belt around your waist, and make it your anchor to stand against the schemes of the enemy (Ephesians 6:13)
