This life is full of obstacles and one of them is discouragement. I’m sure you have experienced discouragement once in your life. It’s a feeling of lost hope or confidence unique to mankind. Everyone gets it. But it’s up to you to decide how to respond to it. As a human being, you must know that discouragement is not physical but spiritual. It all starts in the mind first. Then the heart agree with the thought based on the reality. The enemy can use you, others, and life issues to discourage you, especially if your desire is to fulfill your God given purpose.
Don’t worry, it’s part of the growing process. God allow those moments not to destroy you but to test your trust in him, to build your inner strength. So please, do not be discouraged and do not abandon your race because you have been given the power to overcome any situation through the sacrifice of Christ. The Bible declares that the tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit (Proverbs 18:21). Therefore, use that power to rebuke and bring into captivity all thoughts and feelings of discouragement.
To do so, you have to constantly take the decision to abide by what you know and not by what you see or feel. That which you know is nothing else but the absolute truth of the word of God concerning the situation. It has the power to heal, restore, strengthen, and give you victory if you strongly believe.
In order to overcome, it is important to trust in the abilities God has given you. Never doubt about God’s will to see you fulfill your purpose. Do not compare yourself to anyone. Have a clear vision of your purpose, know your target, and define your goals. In addition, you must work hard and keep the fire burning in your heart.
Whenever Joshua was about to lead the Israelites to Canaan, the only word he received from the Lord was be strong and courageous, meditate on the book of instruction day and night, do not let it depart from your mouth so you will succeed in all you do. The lord instructed him to be strong and courageous, which means to do it Afraid. Nehemiah could have been discouraged when they were facing difficulties during the construction of the wall of Jerusalem but they found strength and courage in the promise and word of God. They declared God’s promises to themselves, to the environment, and to the atmosphere in which they were.
