We are not ignorant of the schemes of the enemy. He is not physical but certainly not fictional. He is real and roaring like a lion looking for whom to devour. But Glory to God, who gave us by divine grace a solid weapon to fight with : the belt of truth.
In these days of relativity, everyone has his own opinion, light, and truth. But as men and women of God we must abide by the Lord’s standards with all our strength. “Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist” (Ephesians 6:14). Run any situation, thought, or decision through the word of God, which is the absolute truth. Simply ask God for a grace to discern, not only between the right and wrong but also between the right and the almost right. The belt of truth is a weapon to have in and on us at all time in order to have victory everyday. On the road towards becoming it is necessary to let the word of God ( who he says you are, who he is to you) sink deep down in your mind and heart. The enemy of your soul, life, and destiny is hoping that you will forget that he is there. Instead of pointing the finger at your situations, family, spouse etc.. Just be on your guard and stand firm against him in prayer and with the absolute truth (word of God) in your mouth.
Life is quite challenging. Trials, persecutions, and tests are inevitable. Though the professor loves you dearly; though he is your best friend, he cannot help you the day of your examination. He has to keep quiet and watch you write the exam because you have to deserve the rank, honor you will get. Jesus had to make the tough decision in the garden of Gethsemane so we can become a blessing. You have a compassionate heavenly father who knows it all. But he will not violate your will. He said choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! (Deuteronomy 30:19). No matter your challenge in this season, I would like to encourage you to do as Bartimaeus the blind beggar man in Mark 10:46-52.
– Verse 47 : when he heard that Jesus was nearby he shouted Jesus son of David have mercy on me. I want you to know that Jesus is for you; his plans for you are plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. So instead of letting discouragement taking place little by little in your heart Shout to Jesus with all your strength. Call upon the covenant you’ve made with the Lord. Ask for his mercy.
–Verse 48: many people yelled at him. But he only shouted louder, Son of David have mercy on me. When you are crying out to the Lord in prayer, the situation will seem not to change. Instead you will realize that it is getting worse. The enemy want you to be discouraged and keep quiet. But, this is the time to shout louder. Keep on asking for the Lord’s mercy about the situation you are facing. Keep on knocking at the door, keep on believing and I’m sure you will receive an answer to your prayers.
–Verse 49-50: Jesus stopped and called him…He threw aside his coat, jumped up, and came to Jesus. Whenever the Lord wants to answer, he will send you a word through his messengers. Because everything happen in the spiritual realm before taking place in the physical, it is then the time for you to throw off your mind the reality of the situation you are in. Embrace the absolute truth of the word you have received and go to Jesus ready in worship, praise, and thanksgiving.
–Verse 51-52: what do you want me to do for you Jesus asked… I want to see… Go for your faith has healed you. Instantly, the man could see and followed Jesus. Your compassionate father is ready for you. What do you need? In this situation, it is appropriate to ask Jesus what a man cannot give you. The beggar blind Bartimeaus usually ask for money. But this time, despite of his situation he realized that he has to ask this extraordinary man what no ordinary man can give him. What is the situation? Is it a hopeless situation? Ask the one who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above what you can think and imagine. He will do it. Decide to ask him that impossible thing. For he is the God of impossibility. He can make a way where there is no way. He can create anything out of nothing. He is the miracle working God- Yahweh.
