Word Of The Day

Have you seen or heard?

Have you ever been in a moment of a huge decision taking and don’t know what to do? A huge dilemma sort of things. Yes? Perhaps, you did the first thing a genuine Christian will do – you prayed for his will but still no clear direction. How do you recognize his response? In this scripture of  Luke 7:18-23, John the baptist who once testified about Jesus being the savior of humanity, in the midst of adversity, questionned the very same status. When the dark hours came, he wanted to be sure one more time that he heard the voice who spoke right from heaven. He also wanted to be sure that he saw clearly the dove descending from heaven testifying of the Savior. So he sent his disciples over to get the right answer from Jesus himself. “Are you the one we have been expecting? Or should we keep looking for someone else?” They asked.
Isn’t this your reality sometimes? You questioned God on things you yourself know the answer. Doubt allowed the devil to sow his classic seed in him through this question “did he Lord really say?” Hoping for a Yes or No, instead Jesus told the disciples to go back and report what they are seeing him doing. In other words, my actions are anwers enough.
Wow, Jesus! Come on? This is a serious matter. I have a big decision to take and you are telling me to consider the facts? Didn’t the scriptures say not to walk by sight but rather by faith? Listen, you’re right by asking these questions? The bible never contradict itself. The word of God is the absolute truth. Yes, John the baptist walked by faith in the first place by trusting the word of God without wavering. But then at some point he shivered from it. Jesus knew that John the baptist was out of faith and he won’t believe his word even if he told him that HE IS THE ONE. Sometimes the way we are expecting his answer to our questions are not just the way he wants to deliver them. You are probably waiting on the Lord guidance for a specific subject meanwhile he has anwered you with the signs or facts you are seeing concerning this very thing. Choose to listen closely to God’s voice and see through his words for they are light unto your path. Only by his light that we can see the light.
