SWEET BREAD ( PAIN SUCRE)
Ingredients
- 6 Cups of bread flour
- 1 Cup of sugar
- ½ Teaspoon of vinegar or Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 Teaspoon of salt
- 3 Tablespoons of melted butter
- 2 Tablespoons of yeast
- 1 Cup of water
- 1 Cup of milk
- 2 Eggs + 1 Egg for brushing
Instructions
- Mix the yeast, ½ of the cup of sugar, half of a Cup of Water, and allow the yeast to activate. ( You will see foam on top ).
- Add the Flour,butter, vinegar, Salt, ½ cup of sugar, active yeast mixture, milk and eggs into the mixing bowl.
- Knead the dough about 15 min.
- Put that to a greased bowl and leave it in a warm place to rise for 1 hour.
- Transfer it onto a floured work surface and shape it ( braid, ball, or loaf shape)
- Place the shaped dough into a greased pan and leave to rise for another 30 Minutes.
- After brush the tops with the remaining eggs
- Place into a 350 degrees Fahrenheit preheated oven and bake between 20 to 30 minutes.
- Leave to cool for a couple of minutes and enjoy!
